YOU ALWAYS HURT THE ONES YOU LOVE

Seems to be an ongoing theme in this show among others. We flash back to 1868 with Bill and see his son dead in his casket having succumb to small pox. Bill's wife gets hysterical when she sees him crying blood. Lorena tried to tell him the only way to avoid hurting the ones you love is to cut them out of your life. That or twist their head around backwards so you don't have to look at them while showing them just how much you "love" them. I guess Bill has never heard of a paper bag.

So Bill can't kill Lorena it looks like as we saw her recover from the burns he inflicted at the end of last week's episode. Sadly the tapestry which was a gift from Count "Dapper Duey" back in 1387 was not as fortunate.

The tapestry wasn't the only furnishing victim as Eric kills the werewolf in Sookie's house and gets her rug "all wet." Speaking of which, I wonder if Sookie got turned on by watching Eric deal with that long haired intruder. My take on that scene was that Eric took the bullet so the werewolf would revert back to his human form to drink the spilled V giving Eric and Sookie the chance to get some information. Sookie hears "Jackson" just before Eric puts the dog down. Apparently vampire blood to werewolves is like Gummi Berry Juice to humans, and boosts their strength.

While Bill is busy in Jackson, Mississippi looking like Michael J. Fox at the school dance in Teen Wolf, Franklin is busy gathering intel on him back in Bon Temps. He gives Tara the slow hip treatment showing a softer side to "Fang Banging," as opposed to Eric's Black n Decker technique.

This Franklin seems like a bad dude but he does help out Jessica by giving her "some head." Decapitated kind that is. In another scene Pam takes a break from giving head of her own to counsel Jessica as well. "Fangtasia this better be good." Another great scene for Pam who has just been stellar this season so far.

How about the weird scene where Sam walks in on his brother and dad sitting on the couch. The dad in his tighty whiteys had his hand on the son's knee. That family belongs on Dysfunctional Family Feud.

Jason enlightens us that there are TWO kinds of people "on" this world... "People who got no dreams, people who got dreams and do nothin about them and people who go out and fulfil their dreams. I don't know about you but Me I'm the third one!"

He may not pass the written test, but he should be great in the field. After all, he is apparently a "Ninja Level Marksman."

Lafayette reluctantly gets the keys to a new Bentley from Eric. Just make sure you don't drink and drive in that thing my man. To review, the legal B.A.C. limit in the state of Louisiana is "when you're drunk." Take the keys and drive Lafayette. whether it's a Beamer, Benz or Bentley, don't let the scheeming affect you.

We meet the new werewolf, Alcide, who Eric sends to watch over Sookie. Lou Pine's seems like a cool spot, but it's no Fangtasia. I'm interested to get a look at this ex girl friend of his who is engaged to the head wolf. Is that Cooter by the way? I liked how Alcide said he's not above a little violence, you just gotta shut the barn door behind yah. Seems to me like he is the werewolf version of Bill in a way.

Lot's to talk about, can't wait to be glamoured by all the comments.

  1. Tru-Nutz thinks he is a Ninja, Stackhouse style.

So I'll kick off the comments this week!!

Decent episode, definitely sets up a lot for the future. Lorena is so annoying, but I now understand why spoilers were calling it the most "twisted" sex scene. So...now vampires are gumby?? This also furthered my dislike of Bill. Sookie needs to hit it with Eric stat, I even see potential in Alcide.

    So questions:

    - Who is Arlene's babydaddy?? The seasons only take place over the course of a few weeks, does this mean it's serial killer Rene's?

    - What is Franklin investigating?

    - Why is Joe Lee Mickens such a dirty hickbag? Does he only have one pair of tighty whiteys? Can they still be considered tighty whiteys if they're no longer white?

    - Do ya'll like Alcide?

    - In the bar fight scene, how would a baseball bat knock down a werewolf?

    - Why was there not more Lafayette?

Pissed that it won't be on next Sunday, but it is America's birthday and I already know I wouldn't be able to watch on Sunday in complete un-interrupted silence. Scenes for July 11th look sickkk. I emailed Tru-Nutz a link today of extra promos, to send it. Post em.

  2. You, my friend....have a a gift. Very well written...ok, lets start from the top. The list of twists in this episode was epic...If i had to rank them i would obviously start w/ bill and lorena doing it how the kid does it, followed by Pam (i heart her) and ballet dancer w/ Franklin and Tara coming in a distant third....(just had to get that off my chest)

Lcourt--Arlenes baby daddy is def Renee' (the last person that she was w/ before cook-y)...and also I really do love Alcide, aside from being a dreamboat he seems like a really good dude...im on board. and my guess on franklin is that he was hired by the queen to investigate maybe even "kill bill" but we'll see. Also, i know that it is probably inevitable but am i the only person that DOESNT want sookie and E to twist?

Ohara-First and Foremost, Bill looked super ballin in his white dinner jacket so u can just knock it off. But you do raise a very good question...who is jackson again?...and what is his role?......

  3. Wow, I dont want to beat a dead horse, but what a twisting bill gave lorena. And the best part was... she liked it and still loves him. thats true love especially after 140 years.
I like the new were, Alcide. He seems like an all around good guy, but things arent always what they seem.
Question, are were's turned like vamps or are they born that way? and can they live forever provided Bill doesnt snap their necks?
Cooter is the fiance of the ex. thats what i heard when i watched it.
Franklin, my man. i want to know his story. I bet he's one of the most interesting of all. He seems like he's over the whole vamp thing. I bet he's at least 500 years old or more. Hopefully we learn more about him in the weeks to come.
    TN out for now.

  4. I think we are still in the dark as to who sent the werewolves and or holding their leashes. "Jackson" referred to Jackson, Mississippi I thought. I definately think Rene is the the baby daddy, but who knows how many guys Arlene took down during the whole maryann maenad induced orgies. I like Alcide. He and I both share a passion for flannel it appears. Sookie was pretty convincing when she turned on the "earth girls are easy" routine at the werewolf bar. Also I remember loving Hoyt's tee shirt he was wearing while quizzing Jason. It said something like AMMUNITION with various bullets on it or osmething priceless like that.

  5. Jackson is Jackson, Mississippi. I think the wolves were sent by Russell Edington's people. Also the wolves aren't turned, they are similar to shifters in that they are born that way. They can also age.

As much as I love Mr. Northman, I see Laffabrown's point about not having them "twist" as you all call it. There's a lot of tension there and that's what keeps the audience hooked.

  6. I'm embarassed about jackson comment, i really am. strike 1 against laffa (btw some of my posts are not hitting, and i dont like that onnnnne bit, i need to be heard)...obviously the nazi wolves have been sent by teh king but what about all of the others....what is there deal?...their motivation/where is this going etc?....also and most importantly, what is bills plan in this whole charade? how is he gonna get out of this thing??...also i think that the queen has sent franklin too either find bill or to kill him...just cant decide which one

  7. OK, lots to go over here boys and girl. 1. Jason Stackhouse is one bad dumb mofo but he grows on me every episode. 2. Alcide is going to be a very interesting character I feel, he has a lot of potential and he is quite handsome in a non gay way. 3. Mickens family so very banged up, the tightey whitey couch scene freaked me out. Don't really care about them. 4. Here is my Bill theory, he understands what is going down and he has to sacrifice his realtionship with Sookie because of this. It is not b/c he loves her, Bill chose to move back there and he stalked Sookie before she gave into him. The real question is what was Bill's original mission? Who sent him ? Why? We all know that Bill was tracking her from his documents at his house and we all know Sookie has special powers in her family. Could it be Bill was sent there to gain her trust and use it against someone/something else? Then like any good 80s flick he falls for her but knows it is doomed from the beginning b/c the whole thing is based on lies. So maybe just maybe this is Bill's out. He saves Sookie in process and is immune from whomever sent him there in the 1st place. And maybe whomever sent him there originally knows this and has sent Franklin there to finish what Bill couldn't. Something to chew on kids.

  8. MUTERIC!!! I think you are onto something. Sookie's power was shown in the recap from last season but we have yet to see her use it or heard any mention of it. i think you are onto something here. Maybe she can turn water into V like Jesus did with wine.

  9. Mutedric is on a really good thought path. Something to note: The queen's plaything is Hadley, Sookie's cousin. It was shown so briefly last season, but Hadley asks Bill how she is when Bill goes to New Orleans. The Queen knows Sookie has a gift and I think she sent Bill there to acquire her in a way.

The nazi werewolves were sent to get Bill but they're obviously nutso since they operate on V also. I think they just aren't called off easily and don't listen to the king that much. Alcide seems embarassed of that particular group of wolves.
